Guys, it’s summer. I know the calendar says it won’t be until Thursday the 21st, but Massachusetts has never been one of… Oh, I don’t know, pay attention at the least to where the seasons actually fall.
It was 85 degrees yesterday, today it will be the same, and if it starts to snow tomorrow, no part of me will be surprised at this point.
Speaking of yesterday’s weather, I ran like a bunny in it! Well, maybe it doesn’t look like a rabbit much because I have a path to follow and some semblance of direction in life.
Spectacle Island 5K was the beautiful Boston Harbor Island, and it has become an annual tradition that Bill and I get to share. Last year I just shot him because it was his first-ever race(!), and this year I ran with him.
There is no rule that says this should be decorated with anything. Not a damn thing, if you don’t want to. But I do mean all about adding fruit to my drinks because 1) it gives them more color and makes me feel fancy, and 2) its food, and I love food.
* ingredients :
° 1/3 cup rum° 1/4 cup coconut milk° 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice° 4 cups fresh pineapple chunks° 1 1/2 cups crushed ice
** All in a blender until the desired consistency
